Un petit coin de paradis : à l’écart du monde, où on est bien tout simplement
The location is perfect! Bus stop infront of the house (even night buses stop directly infront of the house). A Tram station is 200m behind the house. Subway is a 10min walk away. Be in Frankfurt City in 11-15 min by public transport, where you can go shopping at Europe's biggest Shopping High Street, called "Zeil" where theire are as well lots of Restaurants, Cafés and Bars. If you are interested in sightseeing you can just walk from the Zeil to the opera, the impressive buildings of the banks, or to the beautiful Main river. When you walk to the Main you cross the Old City and a popular place called the "Römer" where you'll find the town hall building and where there is a famous big christmas market.
If Zeil is not enough of Shopping for you, visit the Skyline Plaza (9 min away by tram) or the Nordwestzentrum, which you can reach within 11-15min by tram. And Leipziger Straße is just one or two stops away with the tram. Here the locals go and there is a Zalando Outlet worth a visit. At the beginning of Leipziger Straße (1 Tram stop away) there are three supermarkets including an Aldi. As well there is a big supermarket at the end of the Leipziger Straße, at Bockenheimer Warte (2nd Tram stop) with free parking for 1 hour if you come by car and it is opened till midnight.
150m away from my home there is a good and cheap supermarket. Pretty convenient!!
If you are more interested in nature, there are some parks close to my home. For example the Nidda Park (200m away) and the Grüneburgpark (1Km away). Here you can make a pinic, work out or simply relax. In Nidda Park you can find a training park with some exercise machines and in Grüneburgpark, close to Goethe-University, there is a really nice Asian garden worth a visit.
Every Tuesday night from End of March to End of Octobre there is something called "Tuesday Skate Night". It's a free event where everyone who can inline-skate is welcome to join. There are 17 different routes crossing Frankfurt and neighbour cities, each with a length of 25-35 Km. The Skaters (approx 250-1500 of us every Tuesday) skate directly on the streets, with the police quickly closing and reopening streets infront of and behind us. It's an awesome experience! So if you have skates, join! http://t-n-s.de/de/index.php
There are tennis courts from the uni approx 300-400m away from my home. Normally you have to book a court but you can just have a look if one is free and then just play. Other than that there is a tennis hall not too far from my home where you can book your courts or play squash as well. It's called EUROPA TENNIS-& SQUASH PARK.
