Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Magnificent Red Rock Views.
You may have not heard about Sedona, Arizona, but USA Today (May 18, 2003) in their Special Travel Report mentioned Red Rock Country (Sedona, Arizona) as #1 in a list of "The ten most beautiful places in America". They state that "The area's telegenic canyons, wind-shaped buttes and dramatic sandstone towers embody the rugged character of the West -- and the central place that character holds in our national identity. There's a timelessness about these ancient rocks that fires the imagination of all who encounter them." Over 3 million tourists visit Sedona each year, yet it is a small town of about 70 thousand regular residents.
Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
Our home is located in uptown Sedona, up on the hill ridge so you can fully enjoy the magnificent Red Rock views. From the house porch, look for Snoopy dog, the Kettle, and the Fin rock formations. Yet, it is near (1/2 mile away) the shopping district; but uphill so you can't hear the noise or see the crowds. Very quiet and serene neighborhood. My father says you can hear solitude from this house in Sedona.
Besides breathtaking sights, Sedona is famous for its many year-round outdoor activities (hiking over 100 trails and bird-watching); an arts scene; fine dining; western life; some native Indian ruins; and a spiritual place with several vortexes. Nearby towns to visit (Jerome, Cottonwood, Flagstaff and Prescott) and wineries (12+). (Yes, Arizona has some fine, up-and-coming local wines). Moreover, the Grand Canyon is 2 hours away; Phoenix is 2 hours away; Las Vegas and Tucson are 4 hours away; and the Petrified Forest and the Painted Desert are 1 hour away. In Summer enjoy swimming in Slide Rock State Park (15 minute drive), or in Winter enjoy snow skiing at Snowball (50 minute drive away).
Custom home designed by renowned local architect. It has a "ski lodge" feel with contemporary fixtures throughout, solid wood floors, and Jacuzzi bathtub in master bedroom. The house is about 2465 square feet in size, with 3 bedrooms (king bed in master, and queen beds in each guest room), 2.5 bathrooms, fireplace and 3 car garage. Custom landscaping with pine trees, agaves, bearded iris, and herb garden for cooking (mint, oregano, thyme, rosemary and lavender). The yard is laid out like Inca gardens, in steps rolling downhill.
Le mot de la fin
This is our second/vacation home. Thus, we can accommodate guests almost anytime of the year. We use the house to get away from work and city life in Phoenix. Sedona is about 2 hours north of Phoenix, Arizona.
Minimum stay is 4 days to make the coordination effort worth it. A $100 fee is required for professional house cleaning upon departure in GuestPoint exchanges. Cleaning fee and deposit is waived in reciprocity for home swaps.
