is 2 stations from the stunning MARAIS District (RAMBUTEAU metro Station!), 3 stations from "Hotel de Ville". To visit by feet: - "Parc des buttes Chaumont": created by Haussmann, one of Paris’ most
important and largest parks. Romantic area with the lake and Mountains. - "Parc de Belleville": The Park has a small vineyard growing pinot meunier from Champagne and chardonnay from Bourgogne. This
vineyard is a reminder of the viticultural history of the area. The Park was designed by François Debulois and opened to the public in December, 1988. The elevation of the park is the highest park in
the city and also boasts the longest cascading water fountain in Paris, 100 meters long. The park has hundreds of trees and offers one of the finest panoramic views of the city. - "Quartier de la
Mouzaia": Cobbled streets quarter with flowered villas, wonderful to wander around from Rue Mouzaia and Rue Hidalgo appreciating the atmosphere and architecture. - "Canal Saint Martin" : Parisians
love this area for its fabulous pedestrianized path that borders the Seine River to get close to nature, but also there are many galleries and exhibitions along with independent shops to suite all
taste. -The Oberkampf district is another popular area for nightlife. - "Place de la République": The location of the Place corresponds to the bastion of the gate of the Temple in the wall of Charles
V (raised between 1356 and 1383). Decorated in 1811 with a fountain called the Château-d’Eau, it took its current shape under the Second French Empire as part of Hausmann’s city renovation scheme. In
1879, a competition, to design a great monument devoted to the newly-proclaimed Third Republic, was won by the Morice brothers. Recently renovated (June 2014), after 1 and half year lifting the place
is really beautiful.
