Le mot de la fin
This listing is your own 3 bedroom and 3 bathroom house. The property is suitable for groups or families of up to thirteen guests. It is also suitable for those with children who are old enough to navigate stairs safely (there are two flights of stairs, it is a three storey house).
Ground floor consists of a large bathroom plus a main bedroom (2 double bunk beds, sleeps 4), leading into an adjacent cubby sleep space (3 single bunks). The cubby can't be classed as another bedroom as it is very small but it is functional and will comfortably sleep three extra people, 5ft11inches in height or below.
First floor has a small bathroom, one double bedroom, kitchen/diner/lounge and access to a shared courtyard with outdoor dining space. Second floor has one bedroom (two double beds) with balcony and en-suite bathroom.
Laytown has a beautiful clean sandy beach that stretches for miles. My house is a 3minute walk from the train station, bringing you to Dublin City Centre in 53minutes. Laytown is also a great location for those driving to Belfast (90minutes driving or 1hr45mins on the train). Golfers will enjoy the local golf course. Nearby attractions include prehistoric monument Newgrange, Hill of Tara, Tayto Park, Trim Castle, Bective Abbey, Battle of the Boyne site, the National Ecology Centre and Skerries Mills. Dublin is less than an hour's commute from Laytown...there you can visit the Guinness Storehouse, Book of Kells, Trinity College, St. Stephens Green, Jameson Distillery, Grafton Street and the Leprechaun Museum! Dublin also boasts many theatres, museums and concert venues. Free on-street parking is available for guests right in front of the property.
Buses and trains pass regularly through the village and can bring you to Dublin City Centre (53mins), Belfast 1hr45mins) or Drogheda (6mins). Public transport between Dublin Airport and Laytown takes an hour (depending on time of day!) and involves one changeover (take bus 33 from the airport to "Rush & Lusk" train station, then the train from Rush & Lusk to Laytown). If taking a taxi from the airport, the fare is approx. €55. Bus and train timetables are left in your bedroom as is the WiFi code.
Other Things to Note
This is my full time home so I will be leaving my belongings in situ during your stay.
