Ce que vos invités vont adorer chez vous
Fonteno is located on the hills above Iseo Lake (northern Italy) in the Lake District in Lombardy, near Bergamo, Milan, Brescia and Orio al Serio, Italy’s most important low-cost airport.
Our house dates back to the beginning of 1600, but don’t panic, it was completely restored. It is on three floorsThe house is in the historical centre of the village and it has no direct access by car. There is plenty of parking places nearby, all free of charges. You will have to walk 150 metres from the parking (two minutes). There are stairs and a pebble street to get to the house, and the house itself is on three floors (spiral staircase), therefore it is unfortunately not suitable for wheel chairs.
We are in a sunny position, central in the village. We love spending here our weekends, enjoying the lake view and the beauty of the surrounding nature.

In Iseo Lake there is Montisola (or Monte Isola, it means Mount Island), which is the biggest lake island in Europe. In Montisola cars are not allowed, only the doctor has one, but you can hire a bike or use the local (mini)bus. Or simply walk, as we usually do. In Montisola there are many lovely and romantic restaurants and it seems that time has stopped in the small fishing villages of the island.
Try a one-day or one-night cruise on the lake with dinner and music! http://www.navigazionelagoiseo.it/
